Looking for an exciting opportunity in the legal industry? We have the perfect job for you! Our team of dedicated professionals is looking for a Case Assistant to work with us on arbitration and mediation cases in Fresno, CA.

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging arbitration and mediation cases and contribute to the success of our clients. You will be responsible for providing administrative support in accordance with the rules and procedures of the AAA and applicable law. In addition to a competitive salary range of $41,500 - $45,900/year, we offer a 7.5% quarterly incentive to reward your hard work. The successful applicant will work from Fresno, CA on a hybrid basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the case management team in completing tasks, monitoring emails, and preparing communication
  • Assists in the administration of arbitration and mediation cases in accordance with the rules and procedures of the AAA; enters data and case record information into AAA systems and proprietary software applications.
  • Maintains and updates case files, records, and documents in the online case management system (PRISM).
  • Maintains the flow of case communications by updating and maintaining documents online; names and indexes documents in accordance with established procedures.
  • Applies knowledge of the AAA rules and procedures and evaluates their application to difference caseloads.
  • Ensures confidentiality of case information and case records; adheres to the AAAs information security and data privacy policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Understands and complies with AAA billing, disbursement, and collection policies and practices.
  • Demonstrates regular, reliable, and predictable job attendance.
  • Attends on-site and in-person meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience: Associate'sdegree in business or related discipline; 0-2 years of prior work experience involving comprehensive customer service or case administration in a law office or judicial industry.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as legal files, business correspondence and procedure manuals;ability to write routine reports and business correspondence; ability to speak effectively, both in person and by telephone, to customers, attorneys, arbitrators, mediators, and coworkers.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs; ability to understand
and interpret statistical reports, financial/fee schedules, data charts and graphs.
Technology Skills: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and web-based case management systems.
